Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design + Technology (IADT)

We specialise in creativity and innovation as expressed in the arts, technology and entrepreneurship and our reputation supports this. DW Akademie

DW Akademie is Deutsche Welle’s centre for international media development, journalism training and knowledge transfer. Our projects strengthen the human right to freedom of expression and unhindered access to information. DW Akademie empowers people worldwide to make independent decisions based on reliable facts and constructive dialogue. DW Akademie is a strategic partner of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development. We also receive funding from the Federal Foreign Office and the European Union and are active in more than 70 developing countries and emerging economies. We strengthen sustainable development through media We are journalists, consultants and experts in media and education. Together with our partners, we work to promote free expression, human rights and the development of functioning media systems worldwide. We believe that journalism, education and culture improve people’s lives. Powerful stories support positive social dialogue. People need reliable facts, independent analysis, unbiased presentation and universal access to knowledge. Our five strategic fields of action are: Media and Information Literacy, Media Viability, Media and Journalism Education, Innovation for Dialogue and Media Safety. We also address gender and inclusion, disinformation and AI as cross-cutting topics.

Education Group

Education Group is a leading centre for innovation in education with longtime expertise in pedagogics, technology and media. It is both a provider and a producer of educational media and engages in media education by providing services such as learning management systems or a media-on-demand platform to Upper Austrian schools, by making teaching materials on media literacy available or by offering seminars/workshops on the use of media in the classroom in close cooperation with teacher training institutions.

elan e.V.

As a non-profit association, elan e.V. is actively committed to promoting collaboration among our members in E-learning-supported and cross-campus teaching. Our goal is to support innovative educational formats, facilitate the sharing of knowledge and best practices, and sustainably improve the quality of higher-education instruction.By deploying new media in a targeted way, elan e.V. creates modern and interactive learning environments that benefit both students and teaching staff. Through our work, we provide valuable impetus for forward-looking, high-quality academic teaching that aligns with the needs of a digital society.

Delft University of Technology Library (TU Delft)

The NewMedia Centre (NMC) is a media production and expertise centre for education and research. The centre creates video (in a green screen studio and on location), livestreams, animations, infographics, augmented/virtual reality and is responsible for the university’s lecture capture. NMC experiments, together with lecturers and students, with media technology in education, such as holography, 3D models, AR, 360 video and audio and much more.

Dataninja

Open the Box is a project by Dataninja to promote media, data, AI literacy in educational contexts. Since 2020, we have reached out to more than 6,000 teachers and educators, both in school and out-of-school contexts, who in turn have carried out educational activities with more than 40,000 young people between the ages of 11 and 18. In 2023, the European Commission awarded Open the Box the European Digital Skills Award 2023, first place in the Digital Skills for Education category.
